The current update only pertains to computer testing candidates. PSI has closed its test sites. Details below. NCC is extending all eligibility windows to July 30, 2020.
NCC is monitoring the ongoing information related to Coronavirus (COVID-19). As of today, April 3, 2020, PSI has closed its test sites until April 30, 2020. Additional sites, contracted by PSI may or may not close and PSI will continue to post information on their website regarding closings. PSI has also made some changes to its rescheduling guidelines and its security procedures. Information about scheduling and reschedule are as follows:
Rescheduling
Effective immediately, candidates can reschedule directly with PSI up to and including the day of testing at no penalty and no documentation required. NOTE: In most cases, candidates can reschedule their examinations on-line and they are encouraged to do so. If a candidate chooses to reschedule through the PSI candidate support call center, they may experience longer than usual wait times under the current circumstances.
Candidates that are a part of an eligibility program will be provided guidance if a new eligibility is required in order to reschedule and how to obtain it.
NCC will be extending all eligibility window end dates to July 30, 2020. This impacts anyone who had an eligibility end date that ended before this new date. PSI will schedule you within this new eligibility window.
Although PSI has closed their sites, they still have additional sites they contract with that have not yet closed. Closed test centers in affected areas will continue to be tracked and updated on PSI's website here. This information is updated Monday through Friday at 12 pm PDT. If a test center closes, PSI will contact you to reschedule your exam using the process as outlined above.
PSI has relaxed its policy on the use of facemasks and gloves based on recommendations of the CDC:
NCC has asked PSI to try to schedule candidates for the late May or June dates due to the uncertainty of test centers opening in May.
Scheduling
For anyone who has not yet scheduled their exam, you may use the "Scheduling" link in your NCC account. All those with eligibility windows that ended prior to July 30, 2020, will be extended. The new eligibility end date is July 30, 2020. This will provide more time for scheduling examinations. NCC suggests you schedule yourself in June to avoid possible cancelations in May. Please review your eligibility letter in your account for more details. The changes should be in your account early next week.
Live Remote Proctoring (LPR)
The LRP exam for the Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification is still being offered from April 1, 2020-May, 31 2020. Scheduling for LRP began on April 2 and can be accessed through your NCC account. Please review your eligibility letter for more details.
